Meet Nashon C. Duffey

Nashon C. Duffey is a dynamic leader who wears many hats with grace and purpose. As the Director of Ministries at Summit Bible College in Bakersfield, he’s been a guiding force for years, doing his part in Empowering and Equipping believers. He is passionately serving as Pastor of Prayer Nation for 3 years and Assistant Pastor at Saint Paul Church in Bakersfield CA. for going on a decade. With a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a Master’s in Pastoral Leadership from SBC, Nashon brings both depth and vision to every role he takes on.

Beyond his pastoral duties, Nashon is a storyteller at heart—whether it’s through producing music or graphic design, his creative spirit shines in all he does. He shares life with his amazing wife, Brittney, and their two beautiful daughters, Rhema and Raeyah, who inspire his journey of faith and family.

Raised in a legacy of faith, under the mentorship of his father, Pastor Duffey, and his mother, Missionary Barbara Ann Duffey-Hammond, Nashon embodies the rich heritage of pastors and ministers that came before him. His life is a living testimony of God’s transformative power, turning a child’s potential into a life of purpose, calling him out of challenges and into the light of God’s plans.

Introduction

Hello! My name is Nashon C. Duffey. I grew up in a vibrant, faith-filled home under the guidance of my father, Pastor, Dr. Nathaniel Duffey Jr., and my mother, Missionary Barbara Ann Duffey-Hammond. Coming from a legacy of pastors and ministers, my upbringing deeply instilled in me, my brother and my sister the values of faith, service, and community. I'm happily married to my incredible wife, Brittney Duffey, who continually inspires and strengthens me. Together, we have two beautiful daughters named Rhema and Raeyah. In my spare time, I love engaging in creative pursuits such as graphic design and production, exploring fascinating and sometimes humorous AI art, and diving into thought-provoking conversations. I'm passionate about creating content that not only entertains but also edifies and sparks meaningful discussions.

Education/Experience

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Theology and a Master's degree in Pastoral Leadership and currently serve as the Director of Ministries at Summit Bible College in Bakersfield. My professional journey includes three fulfilling years as Pastor of Prayer Nation and 7 impactful years as Assistant Pastor at Saint Paul Church. I've also spent considerable time working as a web designer, producer, and graphic designer, gaining valuable experience in both ministry and professional business contexts. I continually seek to expand my knowledge and skills, particularly in exploring deeper theological studies and effective ministry strategies.

Ministry

Throughout my life, I have been deeply involved in various ministries dedicated to prayer, teaching, and community outreach. As Director of Ministries at Summit Bible College, I mentor and equip believers for active ministry, helping them to understand and walk confidently in their identity and authority in Christ. Currently, I am leading a new online Friday night Bible study, focusing on empowering people to thrive in God's Kingdom Reality and Identity. My passion is teaching believers how to practically apply scriptural truths, experience supernatural transformation, and actively participate in God's restoration work. Seeing individuals grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically through my ministry efforts fills me with joy and deep fulfillment, knowing that I am walking in my God-given purpose.

Favorite Bible Verse

My favorite scripture is Romans 8:11 (KJV): "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." This verse holds profound significance for me as it continually reminds me of the powerful truth that the same resurrection life that filled Jesus Christ also dwells within me. It encourages me daily, providing assurance that through the Holy Spirit, I am empowered, revitalized, and equipped to overcome every obstacle, live victoriously, and experience ongoing physical, spiritual, and emotional renewal.
